With great growth comes great digital potential – and need. Maanesten’s progress has happened at a rapid pace, and the original need for a digital presence has unfolded (and unfolded and unfolded) along with the business.
So how do you secure a sustainable digital foundation that continues to support a business in extreme growth?
Using all the tools in our toolbox (and adding a few new ones), we have crafted and continuously evolved a highly-tailored solution to fit this complex business.
To keep up with the booming business, we have taken a pragmatic approach and adapted our usual processes to fit the need to rapidly scale up the solution. This has required to concept as we built and a lot of attention to defining and redefining needs along the way.
The solution consists of a comprehensive digital ecosystem of platforms: From POS system and B2C platform to internal business, supply chain, and B2B platforms – including a wide range of third-party integrations.
Additionally, a custom-made packaging system has allowed Maanesten to go from being able to pack 50 packages a day to more than 100 packages an hour – a game-changer for the retailer’s e-commerce business.
As many of the systems contain information about the same products, the ecosystem includes a central place of storage that sends relevant data to the individual platforms and allows for a single place of data maintenance.
